Food Chain, a marketplace of Food, Art, and Ideas, is planned for Witwen Park & Campground, about halfway between the trailheads of Plain and Sauk City. Anchored by Roadside Culture Stands (artist-built mobile farm stands), Food Chain vendors offer fresh and fermented edibles for now and later. You’ll find local delicacies that support area farmers and producers. This year’s vendors include:

Join John Hamm from Wisconsin River Meats for a discussion about the art and history of fermented sausage and sample some of his award winning sausage!

Sunday, October 4, 1 pm
Join Faith Anacker of Fizzeology Foods for Lacto-fermentation 101. Faith will discuss some of the history & health benefits of ferments and demonstrate an overview of lacto fermentation including how to make brined vegetables and krauts while exploring some possible combinations to maximize nutritional benefit.
