Earth, Sky, Water, a public art installation on the Great Sauk Trail, will be unveiled during Fermentation Fest. This project showcases the connection of the Ho-Chunk people to Maa Wakacak (English translation - Sacred Land), the land stewarded by the Ho-Chunk Nation.
This ceramic tile mural will be permanently installed on repurposed stem walls, remnants of the site’s historical past as the Badger Ammunition plant, on Highway 12 between Baraboo and Sauk City. Little Eagle Arts Foundation (LEAF) of Wisconsin Dells is the principal organizer of this project.
The required event parking passes will be issued at the LEAF studio. Visitors attending the mural dedication are invited to walk or bike to the mural site on the Great Sauk Trail.
